First Meeting Between URINDO and Pidu District, Chengdu Province Heralds New Start

Meanwhile, Prof. Cicilia said that URINDO as a host really welcomes the delegation of Chengdu with full of happiness as the audience is meaningful for the university, strengthening academic commitment and developing international networking to improve the academic quality, research and innovation, especially for the students of agrotechnology.

“We appreciate if today’s audience would provide a bridge to explore an arrangement of MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between URINDO and foreign partner, especially Chengdu province,” said Prof. Cicilia.

The expectation goes hand in hand with what newly-elected Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto’s speech at the occasion of the Inauguration. President Prabowo is targeting that Indonesia should achieve food self-sufficiency in 4-5 years, by an increase in harvested land area up to 4 hectares by 2029.

“That is not as easy (to achieve the target), except the governments must enhance the capacity to design, implement and monitor coherent and integrated policies.”
