Serang Regency Provokes Farmers in Good Way to Enroll BPJS

This program functions like insurance, providing economic security for workers such as farmers, fishers and their families.

Given the potential risks of work, participation in BPJS is a crucial step to ensure greater protection.

So far, the regency can only afford to provide exemption 2.130 (two thousand, one hundred and thirty) coordinators of farmer cooperatives in total.

One cooperative consists of 20 – 30 farmer members. As Indonesia is an agrarian country, protection for the development of the farming system is needed for farmers by providing welfare guarantees for farmers.

Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 19 of 2013 on the Protection and Empowerment of Farmers is a basic instrument in an effort to provide protection to farmers, especially on farmer insurance.
